So what’s Terry got on Capello, recordings of discussions on tax evasion, video of him spanking Max Mosley, there has to be something because this decision cannot be the product of mature reflection. Is Terry even worth a place in the team? I wouldn’t let him captain a rowing boat with only him in it, I’d rather leave it to one of the barnacles on the hull. The guy is a plodding, whining, pedestrian, work-a-day centre half with negligible distribution skills, slightly better than average tackling and aerial skills and ordinary situational awareness; not a very prepossessing bill of goods.
If Capello imagines he’s getting a Stuart Pearce or Terry Butcher then he’s sadly mistaken.

Much as I don't understand this decision I've got to be more concerned about a performance that would have been easily recognised by Capello's two immediate predecessors! As the prophet Pete Townshend once said, 'meet the new boss, same as the old boss'?

Did you watch that match then - it was truly awful wasnt it.
Moving onto a different kind of football, watched the 2 opening games of the NCAA Football season yesterday. Top notch!-

Yes, it was as miserable and inept as anything offered by Mclaren or Eriksson, when are we going to start saying it really is all about the players? Not really up for the football yet, still plenty of baseball to go but I did see a little of Rice handing it to SMU, June Jones is either going to earn his salary or laugh all the way to the bank as SMU sink without trace. Hope to catch USC/Ohio State, what are those two doing playing each other, have I misread the schedule? Someone's going to have early loss on their record.

Its all about the players. They arent bothered about playing for England, its a hinderance to their lifestyles!
Dont know what happened with the SMU game. I watched the NC State v N Carolina and Oregon v Stanford games yesterday. Both good games. Watching V Tech v E Carolina at the moment.
I think USC v Ohio is tonight 8pm ET, as far as im aware NASN are showing it live.
If Capello imagines he’s getting a Stuart Pearce or Terry Butcher then he’s sadly mistaken.
AND HOW TRUE IS THAT!!!
